I worked at University of California, Berkeley as a Principal Network Engineer in the Information Services and Technology division up until October, 2016. In the same month I'll be starting at Google and am looking forward to the new experience.

I made the transition over to network support a few years back and am still enjoying myself.  Thankfully I do get a chance to take advantage of my linux background, and I feel that it helps keep me from getting too rusty.

I earned my first CCIE (#23977) in Routing & Switching back in 2009, and in June 2013 a second in the Service Provider track.  In terms of my certification trajectory I may either diversify a bit and pursue a third CCIE in the Data Center track, work towards a CCDE, or update my RHCE (as it's starting to get a little long in the tooth having been completed with RHEL4 back in 2007.)
